HIGH JEWELLERY & HANDMADE

Our high jewellery handmade. Handmade is as it sounds, a goldsmith makes an article from nothing more than a design, their skill and precious metal wire which potentially starts life as a rough smelted bar. Every part of the design is painstakingly fashioned by hand, the initial ingot is rolled and rolled through mills, continuously working the metal until the correct usable sizes are created. Then the skeletal form is constructed and soldered together with a vast number of solder joints to produce a finished article. The piece is then fashioned sanded and all roughness is removed, every part inside and out is polished lightly. Then stones are added if required. When all parts are manufactured the mount has a final polish and is thoroughly checked over and finished.

CAD design is used in the manufacture of jewellery, a modern bespoke service that produces a computer aided design from either a bank of 3D images, or more genuinely a technician builds a design for you from your influences and desires. A series of 3D sketches are produced which give a very good idea of how your ideal jewellery might look. Once you have approved the designs a physical scale model is produced in wax: the physical model is made to the exacting dimensions of the finished piece and is the best guide any customer could have.
