Clock glasses can break in the case of a quartz clocks this is a relatively simple task in most cases to place back into housing. However in the case of a mechanical clock, it is a different matter as the glass has to be especially prepared.

Every 2 to 5 years depending on age, your clock should be cleaned and overhauled, (in older models more than this).

The external parts of the clock can be refurbished whether they are wood, stone, glass or natural rock. There is a myriad of external clock cases: In most cases they can be painstakingly refurbished and any damage restored back to its original state.

Dials that have age stain or have become damaged with age, we can restore and repair the faces of most clocks, there might be some exceptions.

On occasions a clock becomes accidentally damaged internally. We offer a service to repair and replace damaged parts and overhaul the movement so the clock is back in working order. We offer a 6 - 12 month guarantee dependent on the individual age of the clock.

Long case clocks are an elegant addition to any hallway; however like all other mechanical clocks they require a clean & service. The process is exactly the same as with an ordinary mechanical clock from the clock maker’s point of view. We will issue a guarantee only if we can carry out a practical repair.

With all barometers and barographs, we firstly check how the instruments are functioning in terms of accuracy. Once we have repaired and service the mechanism, we will then refurbish the outside. We will do our best to ensure that the clock, barometer and barographs is as close to its original condition.
