Pearls are soft and with time the drilled holes wear through. In some cases we have to redrill the silk holes this will allows the silk or cord to sit correctly. Once this is done then the pearls will lie correctly again.

Pearls are layered and on occasions they can become damaged in these circumstances the necklace will be broken and new pearls will need to be added with the same matching lustre, colour and size.

With age we all get a little worn, your faithful pearl necklace is no exception and every few years, it will require restringing and potentially some additional pearls being added.
